Hix Breakfast
Generally a blend of around 60 industrial teas, this richly complex blend is three, single estate, hand-crafted black teas from China, Darjeeling and Malawi. - 3.50
Tregothnan Earl Grey
The first ever English tea- grown at Tregothnan, the ancient Estate in Cornwall established in 1335. Blended with a top quality Assam and delicately scented with bergamot, it is both subtle and satisfying. - 6.00
Lapsang Suchong
Made to exacting traditional methods this tea contains a hint of smoke like a fine malt whisky. Unlike mass-produced versions that use pine oil, it is smoked with barkless pine wood from a protected forest. Singularly subtle and delicious. - 3.50
Oolong
Oolong lies artfully between green and black teas. This Wuyi mountain Oolong is known as the Goddess of Mercy. With both clean, mineral nuances and heady floral scents, this tea is exceptional and a wonderful digestive. - 3.50
Green Leaf
This whole leaf tea is the antithesis of bitter modern processing, grown in a 5000 year old tea garden and carefully hand-crafted in a wok. Clean and refreshing, it comes from the mountains of Fujian, China. - 3.50
Jasmine Silver Tip
Crafted entirely from the most delicate silver tips, which are the first leaf buds of spring at the point of unfurling. Carefully scented over six consecutive nights with fresh jasmine flowers, this is simply the finest jasmine tea. - 3.50
Whole Leaf White ( BaiMuDan )
The first flush of high mountain China tea. The least processed of all teas, these leaves retain the highest levels of antioxidants. A subtle and delicate flavour with a gentle sweetness and the aroma of freshly cut grass. - 3.00
Chamomile
These whole chamomile flowers are grown on a small Turkish farm. The flavour is sweet and soft without a trace of bitterness. - 3.50
Lost Malawi
A rich black tea from Thyolo Mountain in the Shire Highlands of Malawi, Lost Malawai is crafted in small batches to make the per Afternoon Tea . A 100% Fairtrade tea, it is delicious with milk and sugar and also wonderful on its own. - 3.50
Wild Rooibos
Red bush is an indigenous and sustainable tea from the Cedarburg Mountains in South Africa, 100% caffeine free and delicious on its own or with milk.
Please let your tea infuse for between two and three minutes. The whole leaves can be re-infused. The second pot is even more delicious than the first. These teas are provided by the Rare Tea Company.
